ABOUT
Hi! I’m Lily Patterson a Kentucky Illustrator based in Chicago. I’m currently pursuing my BFA in Illustration at Columbia College Chicago with an expectation to graduate in May 2026. There I have been studied under and been mentored by illustrators like muralists Cheri Charlton and Cecilia Beavan, NYT best sellers Ivan Brunetti and Jacqueline Alcántara, and celebrated Comic Artist Tim Seeley.
I am primarily a digital artist with a dense background in the Adobe Suite (going all the way back to my freshman year of high school!), but a current preference for Clip Studio Paint. As an artist I am drawn to narrative illustrations like comic’s and graphic novels, motivated by my teenage-self’s deep love for Marvel’s X-men. As a burgeoning illustrator I am often pulling from classic X-men’s tone of soap-opera meets fantasy, which I marry with my own personal style and fascination with European Folklore.
As I come into my own as a professional illustrator I look forward to working with clients to execute their vision for not only narrative work but also poster designs, spot illustrations, and other marketing materials.
